GA Communication Group is a healthcare marketing communications agency that is growing and thriving—and we need User Experience Designers who are driven to ideate and create interactive customer experiences that emotionally connect with the audience, persuade them to take action, and build trust around our clients’ brands. Our business focus includes pharmaceutical and OTC products, medical devices and equipment, healthcare and diagnostic services, aesthetics and beauty products, as well as patient education and support programs.

 

Our UX Team

GA Communication’s User Experience team employs knowledge of user-centered design principles to create interactive solutions that are focused on user needs. As a part of the GA Digital Solutions Group, we are a small, close-knit, and ambitious team that focuses on clients in the healthcare industry. Our role as UX Designers is to champion user needs in the creation of digital solutions such as websites, mobile apps, interactive sales rep tools, email and social media campaigns, and ultimately to design solutions that provide optimal end-user experiences.

 

 

Responsibilities:

What You Will Be Doing

  • Empathizing with and advocating for the users—keeping their goals, needs, experiences, mindset, abilities, and frustrations in the forefront throughout the project
  • Working with Account teams and client stakeholders to understand and interpret business, marketing, and project goals
  • Partnering with Analytics teams to gather and analyze information on current user engagements and trends
  • Collaborating with Writers, Visual Designers, and Developers to co-create digital experiences that provide a compelling message, reflect the clients’ brand personality, adhere to user-centered design principles, and are technologically advanced
  • Facilitating stakeholder and user interviews
  • Conducting industry, competitive, and heuristic analyses to help inform design decisions
  • Developing and presenting a wide range of deliverables including Requirements Documentation, Information Architecture, Task and User Flows, User Profiles/Personas and Scenarios, Journey Maps, UI Sketches, Annotated Wireframes, and Interactive Prototypes
  • Writing usability test plans, conducting usability testing (remote, facilitated, and guerrilla hallway testing), and making recommendations for iterative design improvements based on testing
  • Confidently, clearly, and persuasively communicating your design concepts and rationale for your choices
  • Assisting in defining and refining user-centered design processes and enthusiastically promoting user-centered design throughout the organization
  • Keeping up to date in the field by monitoring digital trends, attending workshops, and joining professional groups
Qualifications:

What You Will Bring To the Table

  • 5–7 years of practice in user experience, information architecture, or interaction design in a collaborative environment—digital or advertising agency background preferred
  • BA in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, UI Design or Development, Information Sciences or related degree preferred
  • Expert knowledge of established best practices and current trends in UX and web design
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic user-centered activities including documenting user and usability requirements, developing information architecture and navigational flow, prototyping, functional design specification, and usability testing in a team environment or independently to build or enhance existing digital solutions
  • Strong problem-solving skills that utilize both highly analytical and highly creative approaches
  • Expertise in designing user interfaces that adhere to commonly accepted user interface design principles and patterns for different device formats including mobile tablet, responsive, and adaptive design
  • Sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to successfully deliver designs without requiring much instruction from others
  • Solid knowledge of Axure and Omnigraffle or Visio; experience with Adobe Creative Suite is desirable but not necessary
  • Understanding of capabilities and limitations of front-end technologies, including CSS, HTML, and JavaScript (you will not be expected to code)
  • An online portfolio that demonstrates your user-centered thinking, process, and high-quality deliverables that emphasize usability, simplicity, and consistency
